Corrections to the landing gear.

I noticed when my plane landed that the front wheel was bending. This is common on most planes and over time most people replace or upgrade the landing gear. A friend at our club noticed it was the wrong way round and needed improvements on the control rod. I checked the instructions and confirmed it was wrong.

The front wheel is now the other way round and various bits of balsa and expoy have helped keep the control rod from flexing in the plane. This way when it lands, the wheel will stay straight and the spring will take the correct impact. I may consider upgrading the landing gear in the future.

Welcome

The Seagull Boomerang II 40 and 60 are very popular trainers. They have a good reputation as a first time trainer and can be found in a number of hobby stores or online. The May-June issue of "Radio Control Model News" said the new Boomerang II will soon become Australia's favourite ARF trainer for the next decade. Pg 33, Issue 119.

This Blog will help anyone considering a Boomerang as their first trainer. The blog will include detailed information on buying, building and flying the Boomerang II 40 with an OS 46 AX II engine.

I hope this blog will help make the process easier for a first time hobbyist like myself.
