My Spektrum DX6i came with the Phoenix 4 RC simulator. It works really well with my laptop / TV and was not that difficult to setup. I only wish it had the Boomerang II 40. It does have a 40 Glo trainer and you can paint your own plane. I will create a Boomerang II 40 model in the future.
I originally downloaded the latest Real Flight demo and enjoyed using it on my computer with the keyboard. It requires their own dedicated transmitter. I prefer using my Spektrum DX6i with a simulator.
At this stage I can not make a comparison between these products, however I am happy with my current RC simulator. It is possible to find a number of other RC simulators for PC on the Internet. Some are free.
The iPad version of Absolute RC Plane Simulator Plane is fun, however not accurate enough to use as a real plane. It is a great way to encourage young children into the hobby. It will also run on your phone.
